Default How do I disassemble the graphic card? (Going for the oven trick!)

I got a Zepto Znote 6324W, and the screen turned black in december 2010. I finally got some time to spend on doing the "oven trick" now!

So, I've dissassembled the laptop, but now I'm stuck.

I don't know how to remove the GPU. I've read many good guides how to do the oven trick, but not the trick to get the GPU out of the laptop!

And, wich one of them are the GPU?

I really need help, so I'm begging you. Please take your time to help a man who needs his laptop asap!

    /Alfons

    UPDATE:
So I finally figured it out that I had to remove the motherboard out. And the graphic card is to the right on my picture above, right? Then what is it on the left?

    Nevermind,

I'm going to buy some thermal paste and bake the motherboard. 'Cause I can't remove the graphic card only I assume.

The GPU (whichever it is) is soldered onto the main board so you can't remove it. The CPU is removable and another chip which may be covered by the heat sink is the northbridge.

I can't help further because I've never had a close encounter with an Nvidia GPU. I presume that you have read this thread. A hair dryer appears to be an alternative to the oven.

I figured it all out after all.

I just assembled my computer and the screen works! That's just insane. But now the sound doesn't work. Hmm.

You probably haven't connected the speaker cable.

Yes, I forgot that cable, and now it's working.

I just want to say, that if you are thinking about put your GPU in the oven, DO IT. Take your time. I just got some basic experience with desktop computers, and managed it all by myself. The whole operation took me about 6 hours perhaps. And it was worth it!

How did you remove the motherboard? I have removed all screws I could see but it is still stuck around the usb/cardreader area...
