Zepto Z-Note 6625WD DX10 Notebook Offically Announced
I had posted about this before, but it seems as though just recently the 6615's successor has been officially announced by Zepto.

Zepto Community Post
According to the admin on that site (and Google's German translation tools
) The product has (as was speculated previously):
Built in HDMI / DVI
Nvidia Geforce Go 8600
Santa Rosa Chipset
HP DVD Burner (I think, could be Lightscribe but that's just guessing on my part).
And apparently it will be realeased at some time shortly after May 25 I think, which is when Intel's platform is officially launched.

Re: Zepto Z-Note 6625WD DX10 Notebook Offically Announced
yes would be nice... also whether there will be a 6214w sized version and the actual specs of the 8600 would be nice i read somewhere it only had 12 pipelines? and read somewhere else that the desktop 8600 would have 64 which seems very strange to me.. though i have no idea how accurate these sites were

Wow that is really exciting but yeah, does anyone know what the approximate price will be? Also, I wonder how much RAM it will support, since with Vista, 2GB is the new 1GB if you see what I mean. And with all those gizmos do you think it will have a 9 or 12 cell battery as standard?

Re: Zepto Z-Note 6625WD DX10 Notebook Offically Announced
This is something I translated using a free translator from another website I visited.
------
For some weeks has been well known that Nvidia in the coming months will increase its offer of DirectX10-kompatiblen graphic cards with more favorable models. With Zepto, also a first notebook-manufacturer announced now a device with a DirectX10-Grafikkarte.
The Zepto Znote 6625 WD notebooks should come in the period between April and May on the market. In the device, the graphics representation is supposed to be received by a new Nvidia graphics chip. At the same time it concerns according to the manufacturer the model GeForce Go 8600, that is equipped in this case with 512 megabytes dediziertem GDDR3-Speicher.
While the clock speed remains further unclear, is well known that the new graphics processor works for notebooks with 12 pixel pipelines and the storage is addressed over a 256-bit-interface 256-bit-interface bit 256-bit-interface interface.
One not first of all wanted to name us notebook-chip new further details to Nvidias. Out of the technical data of the new device follows however that a HDMI-connection is supposed to be built in, that can be used for the edition of digital contents on LCD-monitors and -televisions.
With the Znote 6625 WD Zepto wants to address above all game fans, that place high demands on the achievement of a notebook. The device controls therefore a 15,4-Zoll-Display with a WXGA-solution of 1680X1050 pixel and is equipped optionally with a HD DVD-burner, that will cost between 300 and 400 Euros.
The device is based on the new notebook-platform "Santa pink" of Intel, that is supposed to be introduced in the second quarter 2007. So also a new chip sentence to the use, whose label reads Intel mobile 965 express, comes. This brings an incorporated graphics solution with, the Intel GMA X3000.
To the equipment belong probably also a WLAN-module new thanks to the new Intel chip sentence that after the new standard 802.11n funkt and therefore clearly higher data rates enables than previously. With "Santa pink" Intel replaces moreover the traditional BIOS by EFI. In notebooks without additional graphics processor, a special technology provides for an accelerated representation of the Aero-surface of windows Vista.
The Zepto Znote 6625 WD should be according to the manufacturer to praising available from 1200 Euros whereby then probably a 1.86 Gigahertz are built in fast Core 2 duos CPU by Intel, a 80-Gigabyte-Festplatte, 1 GB memory. The optional HD DVD-burner is in this price as well as mentioned not contained.
-----------
I really really want to know the battery life specs for this. I have a feeling it wil be really bad.
I would love this spec in a small screen notebook with good battery life. Perhaps a 6214 Santa Rosa Notebook which weighs <2.8kg with about 4 hours battery life with a 9/12 cell batteryLast edited by darkspark88; 28th March 2007 at 11:50 AM.
