Help with sample excel file for an interview I have tomorrow
Howdy Folks,
So earlier today I found out I had an interview tomorrow, and was just given a time, place, and contact name. Also I got this sample excel file with two questions to help me prepare. Only problem is, I don't know how to do them! I have some experience with vlookups and pivot tables, but not with something like this... It is just for an entry level hourly job, so I can't imagine it is that difficult.

Thank you for any and all help!

Weird download link. How do we know there isn't a virus in that file?

Indeed, I'm a bit wary of an Excel file uploaded to a fileshare platform. Why not zip it and upload it here?

I forgot I could even do that... now it is here, although I have very little time before my interview.

Re: Help with sample excel file for an interview I have tomorrow
1. Sub-vertical Frequency - You are tasked with finding how many deals got tagged with each unique sub-vertical. Please have a final table that lists each unique sub-vertical and how many deals got tagged with it (remember: a deal can get tagged with up to 5 sub-verticals so you will need to take that into account)
I would tell them not to use excel and use access, but since you have to do it in excel. I would use vlookups and use a +1 statement when it comes out true. This will allow you to add multi if statements since there is 3 columns of information to digest.
2. Sub-Vertical Accuracy - Assume that "RawData" is not perfectly accurate and "TrueData" is perfectly accurate. You want to measure how accurate "RawData" is compared to "TrueData". How would you do this?
Use if/then statements between the columns. Use another set of three to give true/false statements and add them up.
4. Please reach out the interviewer for any clarifying questions.
I would ask why so over complex system.M18X - i7-2760qm - 2x560m - 8GB@1600 -256GB SSD -

Yes, and if you also mention Access, they will think you are really smart and hire you.

Either that, or they'll expect him to have in-depth knowledge of Access...which he may or may not have.
