I think I've finally been given some big WUs! My WUs before had been around 1800 for the GPU and 400 for the CPU. My current WUs are 1800 for the CPU and 2400 for the GPU!

We've managed to take the lead by 1 vote against the Toughbooks. Now we need to continue our forward surge and try and catch eGPU!

I have the heat off in my Apt, and in my Computer room I have the windows open so I can crank up the TDP a bit on my 940XM Hoping to cut a little time off the WU by morning. In the AM I'll turn down the TDP to compensate for the raise in temps during the day I'm a nerd.

And I thought it was a hopeless effort. Boy was I wrong! Good job team!

Earlier somebody posted about how the GPU can work better or something if it can use some of the CPU and the CPU WUs are worth less so you might as well set the CPU usage to less than 100%. Would the GPU work more efficiently if I did this (or would I get more points/WUs)? And if so, what should the CPU be set at?

Also if I do this, should CPU affinity locking be enabled?

    Interested in this as well.

I've always left the basic settings, but would love to see what tweaks I could do to improve the efficiency of WU.

The problem I am facing with F@H is that I can't seem to get CUDA to work in conjunction with the CPU. I have a feeling it is because of the special designation of my GPU that isn't considered a mainstream GeForce?

Could need to install a dedicated folding client (?). I think installing an older client is the recommended solution. Try 6.41.. The newest one is still a beta, so there could still be a few compatibility quirks

haha I am guilty of that too. I also just turned my heating down as it is getting warmer outside and I can see a direct correlation to my temps! I won't be having that!!!!!

I often open the window and put up with the cold to cool my laptop down a little. She's been working hard so she deserves a little treat every now and then
