Re: anyone ever try slimcleaner?
ive tried it out and it does have some interesting features.
the cleaner is similar to ccleaner but not as robust. with that being said, it seems that slimcleaners cleaner is safer to sue as it is more conservative when removing files.
optimize allows you to change the services and startup paramteres nad has its own 'supercharge' button which is an auto optimize feature. could be some use to people who do not know or are not comfortable with manually changing servies/startup parameters.
it has a feature called hijack log, that basically shows you everything happening in the computer in expert mode. have not tried it out extensively yet but seems like it is more comprehensive than hijackthis.
another worthwhile feature of slimcleaner is its rating system. it community rates files and services. when you click a certain service you get the ratings by other users and can see their comments on what the said file is for.
you can also upload your file to slimcleaners cloud antivirus.
havent touched the tools section yet.
all in all seems like a nifty utilities suite that could be a permanent part of my toolbox.
hoping for some comments from other who have used it.

Re: anyone ever try slimcleaner?
apps with such ugly ui in general can not be trusted by me. too much looking like the typical spywarecrapwarewhateverware

+ most of it's tuning is most likely unneeded anyways.
i stay with ccleaner when needed, and nothing most of the time.
enjoy it if you like it. i won't test it."I will always question your question. I know you won't like it. But it could help. It often does. It's at least worth a try. Consider it."davepermen.net relaunched, first album tracks available

Re: anyone ever try slimcleaner?
too bad no one seems to be willing to give it a try as it seems like a good piece of software.

Re: anyone ever try slimcleaner?
Kinda looks like those malware programs that tell you your laptop is going to explode if you dont buy it.
But give it a try and let us know how it goes. It was only added to download.com 2 days ago... i wont give it a try until i get some solid feedback.
