LEGAL Windows 7 Download Links (Just like Vista before!!!)

Can someone help me, I've been searching on line and can't find an answer.

My computer came with Vista 32 bit even though it is 64 bit capable and also has 4 gigs of ram. However, the OEM upgrade I ordered from windows7upgradeoption.com only gave me the option of ordering the windows 7 32bit home premium upgrade disk. When I received the disk, it only came with the 32 bit of windows 7.

Can I download the 64 bit Home premium installation file here and activate with the key I got from my upgrade option?

Does any one know?

ny355145: Yes, that's the idea. Just be sure to get the Home Premium, because that's the license key you have.

Also, the installer will do a clean install, so back up all your files first.

If you do a clean install and buy a windows 7 license, this will work guaranteed

Velocity, I just got my new HP laptop in and of course they didn't send me a copy of Windows 7. I just bought a pack of DVD-R to back up my computer with. Can I use DVD-R to burn Windows 7 on?

Also, what do I need to download before I download your 3 links? (i.e. Winzip)

Can someone be so kind as to walk me through the easiest / quickest way to do this BUT I AM USING and XP PRO machine NOT VISTA ?

I have copied off everything from my (fast) Flash Voyager 16GB USB stick, ready to format to whatever (NTFS?)

* DO I make a partition whilst formating - so that I can KEEP the Win7 bootbale iso on it (and then have other partition with all my other files and programs etc on it*)

* In fact would that mean I end up with 3 partitions in fact (as you have to have a boot partition anyway???)

can we just open the ei.cfg file in notepad or something and change it from professional to ultimate to have it as an ultimate install insted of doing an all in one disk? I found the bin patcher, but it will not work...i get target size unexpected error when using bin patcher...

You can use the dvd-r that you already have (the iso is around 3 gb)

You don't need any other software besides something to burn the iso
