Default Save money - don't buy MS Office

If you're trying to save money when buying a new notebook, try passing on MS Office. There is a free option out there called Open Office, that can meet the needs of almost everyone who uses Word, Excel, etc. Open Office is fully MS compatible and even offers cool features like the ability to save as a PDF or Flash file. It's not for everyone, but if you're a little flexible and want to save a few bucks, this might be a good path to try.

This is a great suggestion. I use both actually--the one problem that I have run into is that OpenOffice doesn't open everything properly. But its free, so who am I to complain? [:I]
