    Default Swapping Hard Drives

    I just reformatted my brothers computer for him, and to preserve data, I did the new version on a new hard drive. Now that everything is settled, I need to swap the data from the new format to the old hard drive. I would normally do this with Norton Ghost, but I am now in Vista on my machine (and I don't want to install Ghost on his). Can Vista move all of the data conveniently, or do I have to suck it up and install Ghost on his machine?

    I don't know if Windows Backup would properly handle a separate windows install, and you can't move the Windows system files manually without running into troubles.

    An external USB drve is best. In fact that's where all backup date should be.
