Best laptop you can buy for under $600?

Hi there, what is the best laptop you can get for under $600, which has at least the following specs:

Screen 15"
HD 80GB
RAM 512-1024MB (preferable 1024, but know its almost impossible)
AMD 64 Dual Core or Intel Core Duo

I think the new Dell E1501 will fit your needs and should be around your ballpark. If you live in the us check the delloutlet as I seen core duo's floating aroung 580

Thanks, compsavy that's seems to be a great option. Also, what about the Compaq AMD series, has anybody had any experience with them?

I like the new hp dv2000t, stock its 550, but if you want to go a little furthur you can upgrade stuff.

Check local stores for a deal on the Compaq V6000, it is a nice looking 15.4".
