Suggestions for a 13-15" laptop, around $750 AU with a 3rd gen core

Hi guys

So my gf's decade old laptop finally died and i was tasked with finding a replacement. She doesn't play games or anything like that (unfortunately ) just MS office and web browsing but often has hundreds of tabs and docs open at once when studying. These are the guidelines i have in order of priority:

1) 3rd gen (ivy bridge) core (this is my stipulation to prevent it from becoming too outdated too quickly)
2) 13-15" screen
3) Decent battery life
4) Around $750 (a bit of leniency here - could push for $1000 given it has everything we need)
5) Looks "pretty/sleek"...
6) Not too heavy

So far im finding the 3rd gen core criteria the hardest to meet. Anyone got any suggestions?
