Default What laptop should I get?

I have several in my mind which are listed below. But I just can't seem to decide what I want to get.

I have a powerful gaming rig at home ($3-4k) and need a laptop to fit my portable needs. I had a Mackbook Air 13" but sold it due to not enough space and juice to really do what I needed when I had both Windows and OSX on it.

I am looking to use the laptop to do on the go for work/school and to use it on photo editing, web browsing, emails, and some gaming (BF3, BOPS) when I want. But gaming part will be more rare. I want good battery life. I prefer 4-6 hours and been told the Alienware barely get 5 hours but the Sager lucky to get 2-3. I would like to get at least a 15" laptop. I think 17" might be too big and heavy for what I want. I have an iPad I do most of this on anyways but when I start taking classes for VMWARE, etc I would like to have a machine that can handle it well.

    Laptops:

Dell XPS 15 (the new one with the slot loading DVD/Blu-ray)
    Alienware 14x -
Alienware 17x (might be too big and heavy) Anyone know how this compares to a Dell XPS 1710 that I use to have?
    Sager NP9150 15"
    Samsung Series 7
    Lenovo T530s

These are the ones I have been mostly interested in. Specs are for all of them:

    i7 2.3ghz 3rd gen CPU's min up to 2.6ghz
    8gb min
    500-750gb hd with hybrid SSD
1920x1080 LED/IPS display (Gloss or Matte)
    Lighted keyboard
DVD Burner or Blu-ray if available
Great warranty support 3-4 years onsite if available but not required
    USB 3.0s

Price range I have is MAX $2500 but prefer $2k max with any discounts. I already tried to get Dell to do some discounts and they told me some policy they have is no more than $25 max is all they will do now. I think that was just some BS.

Well, you've left out the two most obvious ones: Sony Vaio SE and HP Envy 15. They're the only full-voltage optical-drive laptops with 15-inch true IPS screens. Color gamut is an issue, but probably no worse than the Alienware m14x and the Samsungs. Only the Vaio has Blu-ray optional. The Envy 15 has a better graphics card, I think. Also, the Vaio has poor battery life by itself, but offers a "slice" battery that doubles battery life but increases thickness. (It's still pretty light even with the slice, I think.) The Envy lasts pretty long on its own.

Barring those, I'd vote for the T530 with 1080p, but that's because I like the Trackpont.

I have narrowed it down to these laptops now.

    Samsung series 7 15
    Samsung series 7 gamer
    Alienware m17x
    Dell new Xps 15

Now I am afraid of the Dell due to it having wifi issues but love the design, screen, keyboard, etc. the samsungs especially the gamer has an awesome screen. The alienware is just Awesome all around but costs a lot more and a lot bigger.

What are your opinions? I personally rather have the dell but can't get over the wifi issues that haven't been resolved.

Here are just a few options:

ASUS G75VW-DS72 - I believe this one is the best choice for you. It has everything you need including additional SSD

    MSI G Series GT780DXR-446US

    Toshiba Qosmio X775-3DV80

    Sony VAIO F2 Series VPCF237FX/B

I would really recommend you to go with the ASUS. New Dell XPS is also a good idea, but I wasn't able to test it yet, so I just can't recommend it. I don't really like Alienware... Can't explain why, I just had bad experience with it. I believe it may be a good laptop for you. Hope this helps
