I'm currently thinking about getting m17x, but here in singapore, it is very costly(3.7K SGD vs 1.5K USD with no config)

What is the tax like in Singapore?

Go to XoticPC and configure the NP9170. Add the 7970m, downgrade the RAM and add the thermal compound. Remember that shipping form overseas implies that you have to pay for international shipping if you need to RMA it to them.

I'm not so clear about taxes in Singapore. And i don't think international shipping would be a real hassle, would it?

I second the Sager NP9170. I haven't ordered mine yet but I have heard many great things about them.
