15.6" gaming/multimedia laptop with 2560x1600 output
So I almost bought the new ASUS N56VZ a couple weeks ago but I discovered at the last minute that most 30" monitors don't accept 2560x1600 (or even 2560x1440) through HDMI -- only through dual-link DVI or DisplayPort. The N56VZ does not have DL DVI or DP; nor do most other laptops I've looked at. I know some Lenovo and Sager models do.
As I understand, HDMI 1.4a should be capable of driving the 2560 resolutions, but I'm not aware of any 30" monitors that are 1.4a compliant. I really had my heart set on the N56VZ, but this looks like a deal breaker for me. There have to be others out there who hook a high res monitor up to a laptop. What do you recommend?

Yeah it would be nice to keep it under $2,000, but I'll take what I can get for whatever price, if there's a decent laptop out there capable of driving 2560x1600 external....
