17 inch silent laptop with 1920 resolution ?

Hello

I'm looking for a very silent laptop which could handle a 1920 resolution. I've done Dell and Sony so far and hated the studio 1737 because of the noise.

Recently i had a vaio F24 and was happy with it but had to let it go because of money issue

I'm fine now and money isnt a problem, im looking for something that wont irritate my ears as im very sensible.

I'd like something new, i was happy with Vaio but didnt very like the 16,4" inch and maybe i could find something again less noisy ?

Im from france but i'll manage to found my ideal laptop even if i've got to go to thailand !

Also, im planning to add a ssd and ive got no use for bluray or anything like that...

Other thing i liked about dell and sony is the opportunity to fully customise your computer so no hardware you dont need !

I've heard a lot of good things about Asus's cooling system. I'm not sure what your budget is, but here's a link to one of their ROG systems. Most of the options are customizable here through XoticPC.

i heard they cool well but the latest g75 is noisy

What are you doing at 1920X1080? Gaming? YouTube? A 5 year old $100 machine could handle web browsing at that resolution.

Your biggest problem will probably be finding a machine that large without a dedicated GPU. Few people want a 17" screen that also don't want to do gaming or CAD/graphics work on it. Do you care more about the 17" size or the 1920X1080 resolution? I'm thinking you might have better luck looking at 15" FHD machines.

yeah thats what i thougt but i dont mind paying a bit too much for it if its really silent, its my job afterall

The thing is that dedicated GPUs generally require better cooling than integrated, and better cooling=more and/or louder fans, generally.

what do you guys think of the sony vaio E ?

would a I3 be enough or should i go with a I5 as i like to multitask
