AMD makes processors for gaming. They also hapen to be the cheapest processors out there. An AMD a8 processor will run most any game out there and game like WoW will run at ultra settings. You can find laptops equipped with these processors at tiger direct or best buy. Example--

    HP Pavilion dv6-6b47dx Refurbished Entertainment Notebook PC - AMD Quad-Core A8-3500M 2.4GHz, 8GB DDR3, 640GB HDD, DVDRW, 15.6 Display, Windows 7 Home Premium 64-Bit at TigerDirect.com

This is a great computer with great features including usb 3.0, beats audio and a finger print reader, if I had to buy a budget laptop this would definitely be it.

6620g is not really designed for gaming as it is shown on here and the gaming performance. AMD Radeon HD 6620G - Notebookcheck.net Tech

I would recomend getting a 6750m laptop. This was a crazy deal I recommended a few weeks back to other people and that graphicscard is over 2x as fast as a 6620g. If you want a "New" system that has a 7670m (DDR3 version) dedicated GPU than here is what I just ordered. I also ordered 8 gb's of DDR3 1600 mHz RAM to give the sytem a good start too. It also comes with the A6 Quad core APU and if the game supports it, you can use the asynchronous Crossfire (uses integrated GPU and dedicated GPU together).

    $400 +tax/shipping!
    Acer Aspire AS5560G-7809 NX.RURAA.001 Notebook PC - AMD Quad-Core A6-3420M 1.5GHz, 4GB DDR3, 320GB HDD, DVDRW, AMD Radeon HD 7670M, 15.6" Display, Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit, Black

Here's some RAM if you want to upgrade to 8 gb's of DDR3 1333 mHz for $42 shipped:
    G.SKILL 8GB (2 x 4GB) 204-Pin DDR3 SO-DIMM DDR3 1333 (PC3 10600) Laptop Memory Model F3-10600CL9D-8GBSQ

Another option that is $500 shipped:
    lenovo IdeaPad Z575 (12992PU) Notebook AMD A-Series A6-3420M(1.5GHz) 15.6" 6GB Memory DDR3 1333 500GB HDD 5400rpm DVD±R/RW AMD Radeon HD 6650M

It has the same APU as the previous laptop that I linked, but comes with the dedicated 6650m GPU (which is similar to the 7670m). It comes with 6 GB's of DDR3 too.

I cannot imagine a decent gaming laptop for $500 that is not used or refurbished. You'll have a difficult time finding anything truly great (including used or refurbished) for gaming in that price range. And, something powerful enough to serve your needs for 3 years will make it all the more challenging. It would be better to wait and save up more money to buy a better machine that will not leave you disappointed. You're going to need at least $1,000 to get something truly great that is powerful enough to still be OK for gaming in 3 years.
