is it brand new?. If it is not, then i'll say it's overpriced. Which state do you live in?, so i could recommend something for you. I am actually trying to sell mine with similar specs, but 3D for $860 (used like new) on ebay. I just listed it 4 days ago. my full specs are...

    Brand: Dell
Graphics Processing Type: GT 550m 1gb Dedicated Graphics
    Type: Laptop/Notebook
    Memory: 8 GB
    Product Line: XPS
    Hard Drive Capacity: 500gb 7200rpm
    Model: XPS 17 L702x 3D
    Operating System: Windows 7
    Screen Size: 17.3"
    Operating System Edition: Home Premium
Processor Type: Intel Core i7 2630QM
    Release Year: 2011
    Processor Speed: 2.90 GHz
    Screen Resolution: 1920*1080p FULL HD
    Battery: 6 cell.

Unless you are buying it brand new. it's totally overpriced. a 5400 rpm hdd will suck big time! lol, am not just saying because am selling mine, you can get better deals on ebay with "3D screen and a faster HDD" for either the same price or lower

Around 1400$ for a Sandy bridge processor when ivy bridge is out, 1 tb 5400rpm HDD, GT 555M when the Kepler cards are out is certainly expensive is not ridiculously expensive.

Fill up the form and we shall see how we can help you.

Consider instead the HP DV7t Quad Edition. Buy it in a configuration that includes the GT 650M and the 1920x1080 display. With proper coupon codes, it should come out to be cheaper. The CPU and GPU are both faster.

^ Just saw your signature. True. Very few people actually come back and tell us what laptop they got and their experience with it. It definitely does help if the users come back to post what they finally got.

Yes It is brand new from Dell Canada. I saw your laptop on ebay, but I prefer a brand new laptop without 3D, could you please tell me how did you see the xps 17 in general.

thanks for your comments. Could you tell me from where to fill the form. I am new here .

thanks for reply. I am already using a 25% discount coupon and the final price after the taxes is : $1350 ! for HP it is rare to make offers here in Canada.

You know the problem that I see a very good offers in the US. But most of them do not ship to Canada and if they do, the price will be more after the shipping and the Taxes.

I don't know how to find a reasonable price after the taxes here , I found that Dell is the only company which made some good offers.

    Any Suggestion ?

    Regards,

Sorry for my late reply, The dell xps 17 is a very very good laptop that does everything you will need generally at this point in time, but the stuff is that, if i was you, sincerely speaking, for that price, i would get an ivy bridge and kepler based system. They cost just as much and run way better in laptops.

You have to fill this form "http://laptopusers.net/nbr/", So we will know your exact needs, if you are a Media power user, Gamer, or average Pc user. BTW this is an example of a kepler based system http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16834131264
