Looking for 17 inch laptop with fHD and last 8 hours?

Please fill out the FAQ to get some more specific recommendations. There are other important factors, what's your budget for example? Which country are you buying in? You can get an HP dv7t with a 9-cell battery and it'll get about 8 hours. The MacBook Pro 17" should get around 7.5 hours. The ThinkPad W520 can be configured with a 9-cell battery and additional slice battery and get up to 20 hours. All of these have FHD screen options.

Budget is around $1000, but give or take few hundreds is ok.
Canada, USA is ok.

So far thinkpad w520 is good, except that is 15 only, i wish it has 17.
HP dv7t is only thing that last that long.
