which should I get and why? Basically is the bigger screen worth it.

well i meant, which is better and why--comparing all aspects like portability, fan noise, screen quality, cooling, performance etc

They're both very even on build quality. Portability is higher for the 15.6" P150EM ofcourse.. Performance is comparable and same. Cooling would be slightly better with the P170EM. Screen quality is great either way. All in all, if you think you'd be moving around with the laptop much, get the P150EM. If the laptop will reside on a desk most of the time, get the P170EM!

The difference between the two in terms of weight is about 1.7 pounds. IMO, that is not a lot. If you think you can carry the extra 1.7 pounds every day, get the 170. Else go for the 150.

The p170em has 2 drive bays vs the single on on the p150em, though you can remove the optical drive and get a caddy.
