Possible to get a medium setting "gaming" laptop for under $600

hey guys. looking to get a gaming laptop for under 600$.


I only really want it for Guild Wars 2 and be able to run it on MEDIUM settings smoothly(Details and all If I can)

Was wondering if it was possible at all to get one for under $600 whether refurbished or whatever. My main issue would be the GPU. I DO NOT CARE about screen size or resolution tbh. I feel the smaller the res the easiler it will be to find it for my price range.

I have heard it can play guild wars 2 well, although im not sure exactly.

It has i5 2.5 Ghz dual core
Nvidia Geforce GT 540m
4gigs of Ram
500Gb 5400 rpm hard drive
9 hour battery
and is very portable.

14" 1366x768 resolution
not to bad

I know for a fact it can play crysis 2 on medium.

this is basicly between a alienware m11x and a m14x. although closer to the 14, for 600 dollers less.

I am waiting for a reply on my thread about this, so I would wait before you rush out.

Post a thread in the marketplace. WTB laptop with 5870m or 560m. Will be WAYY better than the 540m.

I just feel that a lot of these sites are ripping people off having 800-900$ gaming laptops with intel3000HD grpahics or even the gtx260m which I have read is out of date(as you said has no directx11)

All these sites are not selling the gaming notebooks for my price

Yes, well the 260m is better than the intel 3000, but yeah I have noticed a definite gap in the market.

The best place to buy is probably here in the marketplace. Stupidly, most Sager and Clevo resellers do not sell their old stock!! Really makes me sad. The best performance you can get is definitely in an older first gen i5/i7 with 5870 or gtx 560m.
