Re: Help Me Spend $5k :) USD
Who would I PM? Right now it's between ordering from them and HIDevolution.com I am a little leery about ordering from Power Notebooks as well because after reviewing their website I'm not sure if I'm getting the m18x, m18x r1, or m18x r2. On HIDevo I know I'm getting a r2.
@knight472, LOL.. black sticker.

You can PM him here.

Also, you can check the reseller feedback forum in the Sager/Clevo section to read the many positive reviews for PowerNotebooks. I purchased a laptop from them many years ago. They have been around quite a long time. Highly recommended.

Re: Help Me Spend $5k :) USD
I don't really think spending that much money on a laptop is actually a good idea! in the end they're going to be out dated and be replaced. best way to go is a single graphic card with dual SSD's, unless you're really a power hunger, then better go for desktops because I don't think these bulky bricks are ideal for mobility in the first place! they're 10 times more powerful.

Re: Help Me Spend $5k :) USD
I don't see the point the notebook you will buy is going to be worth 1k new in 2-3 years. Otherwise I recommend that you get the best warranty possible since I have no idea what you should do.

Maxed out M18X with Xfire 7970M.
Maxed out p270wm (3960X) when it's available (as it's been either delayed or cancelled).
If you want only graphics design, go for the x7200 with a quadro.

Re: Help Me Spend $5k :) USD
@Captain Razer: I already have a killer workstation. This is meant for power on the go.
@lebob23: I'm not interested in resale value. My current laptop is an Acer Ferrari 5000 and it's lasted me 5 years. I just gave it to a family relative because it simply can't meet my needs anymore.

Re: Help Me Spend $5k :) USD
in that case go for the M18x
yeah some people are going to say clevo, but clevo have desktop cpu's and chipset which IMO result for an extreme heat and terrible battery life, sure has horse power but not really ideal for mobility!FOR SALE! MSI GT780 battery

This choice is easy, Alienware M18X maxed out it will be close to 5K but should be under budget.
