Re: Gaming laptop help
If your budget is around 2500, you could probably get a sager. The HP will probably run on medium/ high at around 45 fps according to this:
Computer Games on Laptop Graphic Cards - Notebookcheck.net Tech
but it probably won't run on ultra well.

The 3610 is good enough. You really do not need to get a better one unless you are doing some very CPU intensive tasks (like running scripts) and gaming is not as much as a CPU intensive task as a GPU intensive task. I would suggest you get the 3610 and save some cash.
The money you save on the CPU, you can use to get a better GPU. I would suggest the Alienware M18 and get the dual 7970ms in XFire. Then haggle with DELL and get it down to 2500.
I would strongly suggest against a hybrid drive. A full SSD would do you much good.Alienware M17xR4 | Intel Core i7 3610QM | AMD 7970m | 12GB @1600 | Crucial M4 128GB + 500GB @7200rpm | Killer Wireless

Re: Gaming laptop help
+1 on the Sager suggestion! At that price point, DEFINITELY go for one. You won't find a laptop with simultaneously comparable performance, heat management and price.
