Be New portable gaming machine july - august

    Hi there!

I'm going for a new laptop this summer (july - august) and I have no idea what brand of model to pick.

I have a few concrete wishes.
    11-15inch (less is more)
    Good battery life
    Gaming - ready
Good touchpad! (I don't work with a mouse)

I use my laptop as my only PC so it needs to be able to handle games (and future ones), not maxed out but playable. And I use the laptop at school where most of the time it can't be charged. So a good battery durability is a good bonus.

    A few more specifications:
I live in Belgium (so American based companies are a no go.
    Price between 800-1200 Euro.

    Thank you for your help!
    Moobke

The best laptop for you is probably the Sager NP6110 which can be bought from xoticpc.com it has an 11.6" screen with i7 and 650m graphics for only $800 USD.

I looked into this one since it's available in Europe but i'm not so sure about the battery.

N6110 battery lasts 410mins from what I've heard! that makes it 7 hours.

add too bad it doesn't use a ULV proc, it would last much more

    P.S.

SSD would increase the battery life, it's a good upgrade if you ask me.

The NP6110 (Clevo W110ER) does NOT last 7 hours. Not even close.
It gets around 4 hours on balanced profile with reduced screen brightness.
Its a nice laptop but dont live in illusion it will get 7 hours with the hardware it has.

They went for more speed instead of more battery life. Most gamers would accept losing 1-2 hours of battery for over a doubling of GPU performance. I personally am considering an np6110 because it is faster than a m11x r3

Not just faster, better too. Not to talk better cooling too

Also, with a few mods, tweaks and changes you can easily get the battery up to 5 - 6 hours (so it seems!! I'll try to do my best and if I succeed I'll post it here somewhere )

    hints that might help:
-locking the P state to %5 (using advanced power option in control panel)
-forcing the gpu to 50mhz using nvidia inspector.
    -minimum brightness
    -SSD
    -less ram sticks as possible

we'll be waiting for your post
