Re: Thin and Light 11-14 notebooks gaming worth compendium
Not sure if it's best to ask here, but how is AMD's GPU switching these days? Anything seamless like Optimus? Or does the screen still black out?
Acer 4820TG - i5-480m, HD 5650 - $675 - two and half years old, starting to feel old, maybe just need an SSD
Possible upgrades - LG 900p screen, Momentus XT
Next laptop (2013?): 14" 900p screen, BR-RW, ATI 8xxx series dGPU w/ 2GB GDDR6 ram, 6-core AMD or Haswell, 8GB DDR4 ram, 1 TB SSD, 6 MP 1080p webcam, Lightpeak + USB 3.0, 16 hrs battery, <4 lbs

it actually got worse, there is some loss of performance when enduro is active, and since so far, there are no real drivers available...

Re: Thin and Light 11-14 notebooks gaming worth compendium
I found a laptop that might fit into this category. Toshiba Terca R940-SMBN22 I can't find anything about how powerful the graphics card is though(AMD 7570m). I weighs 4.19lb and for 869.99 you get i5-3210M, 4GB DDR3 1600MHz, 500GB HDD 7200rpm, 1GB DDR5 AMD Radeon™ HD 7570M, 14.0" HD+ LED Backlit Display (1600x900) , 1MP webcam, and a 6-cell 66Wh battery.

Notebookcheck
It's between the Nvidia 620M and 630M, so not so powerful... Better than integrated graphics, but hardly game-worthy
