its not a matter of buying or not, see for yourself, the measurements are there and thats it.

Its quite a shame that the m14x turned out this way, however the r2 is much more interesting than the r1 thats for sure. The m11x was underpowered for a reason, it was large for no reason, but it was good despite the quality problems that it had.

Other than the weight I'm not particularly turned off by those dimensions. Not much different from my current CW.

I just hope that the overheating issues that people had in the r1 have disappeared in the r2.

Yeah the weight... its similar to what I had in a 2006 lenovo 14'' that I have, btw the size in that lenovo is also smaller, in the x,y,z dimensions

This is the Clevo/Sager W110ER/N6110 next to a m14x at my local Fry's:
    Spoiler :

With the 11.6" Clevo ontop of the M14x:
    Spoiler :

And between the M14x and a 15.6" Asus who's model number I forget:
    Spoiler :

I originally took these for the Owners thread and intend to go by Fry's again on Friday and see if I can get a picture of it next to a y480p. I'd go by Microcenter but they don't have that model on display. So unfortunately I'll have to try to dodge the Fry's guys as unlike MC, Fry's has a policy against pictures in the store as I found when taking these. They say it's to keep competitors from learning their shelving secrets, which is apparently a big deal in the retail world.

Ha! You're right. If I zoom in the picture I can see the Asus tag on the LCD. I remember it was a 15.6" but I went to get pictures next to 13 and 14 inch machines as requested by some people in the owners thread and didn't pay much attention to it.

I get more information about envy 14 review (Gaming performance). The used Intel Core i5-2467M and the integrated GPU unit HD 3000 Graphics have been sufficiently tested for their performance. Testing performance by FIFA 2012 and ANNO 2070. You can read more test details HP ENVY14 Gaming Performance.

I stand corrected. I was thinking back to a post about the M14x being heavier than the Clevo W150ER and assumed it was bigger as well. It's deeper, but the Clevo's over an inch wider, so touche.

    That's the 11.6" Clevo not the W150ER.

I know the picture is the 11.6". I was referring to the listed measurements of the M14x vs. the W150ER, though I guess that's not obvious from my post. The M14x is deeper by a nub, the W150ER is notably wider, and the thickness is hard to say because the M14x is listed as a constant while the W150ER's is a 1 inch range maxing out a bit thicker than the M14x.

If I thought the Clevo in the picture was the W150ER I would be crowing about how I was right and how ungodly big the M14x is compared to its competition.
