    Alright, just not sure on what laptop to get as far as brand goes. Any help will be appreciated.

    Why do you need an i7 quad core? You are doing nothing that will remotely require so much power. If you need a laptop that feels fast, then you should be looking at replacing the spinning drive with an SSD. The SSD is the one that reduces latency and gives you instantaneous response to your input. Fast boots, a responsive laptop and low heat and noise are some advantages an SSD will give you even if you have an i3 or an i5. If the i7 is necessary for a CPU intensive task, then please ignore this.

    guess I should of put down that I want a Ivy Bridge CPU because it's the newer that just came out. Thought about SSD but thought it would bring the price up more for one that has decent storage.
