I mean, the 11.6" is 4lbs, so I don't know how much lighter we can get without sacrificing some of the hardware. The issue is cooling, the thinner it gets, the less copper it colds

If the ivy bridge models end up with a 1080p screen and a 650m ddr5 (o ramd equivalent) I will seriously consider getting it. 1080p workspace at the same weight as most 14" gaming laptops is quite compelling.
Doesn't the Series 7 only come with 1600x900 not 1080??

so... about that Origin EON 11S upgrade...

Origin PC upgrading pre-Ivy Bridge orders with new silicon, asking nothing in return -- Engadget

    I don't see what changed x_x but it's still under 4lbs and has a 650M inside.

Yep, same Clevo chassis with a custom screen backing. No way that's worth $400+ more for that. The screen back doesn't even match the bottom. I don't know what these guys are thinking.

thats what im hoping for. these specs should be in high demand especially for college students, so the companies better release them by back to school timings or they will miss out

Crappy Desktop: HP Pavillion | Phenom x4 9500 | 6 gb ram | Radeon HD 6770 <- not much better

Yes but 11" screen is just too small, for me. As others have said, if they can fit that hardware into a case that small and light, why can't they do it for a 13-14"?
