Welp, I'm assuming that means they certainly aren't going to be hitting the market within the next month then.

Are there any dates on the horizon where we might hear new announcements, or was 4/29 it? Am I SOL now until late summer or is there a date I should be waiting for/product I should be researching?

Which would put potential release dates at late June/July right? Too late for me

No, in the same manner Intel announced their Ivy Bridge, AMD should follow same time as announcement.

So I checked back in with a Lenovo rep who told me to check back today and they said the Y480 650M models are coming in June.

Guess Ill have to wait for it - the 11.6" keyboard makes me nervous considering the amount of work Ill have to do on it. Here's to hoping they aren't yanking my crank.

Actually all three of those brands are slated to release 14" notebooks which could carry those specs:

    HP dv4

Asus N46 (okay maybe not yet a 650M)

    Lenovo ThinkPad Edge S430
(I can't find it now, but I swear I read somewhere that 650M would be an option)

I'd definitely go for the dv4 if it offered at least a 900p screen, but I doubt that'd happen.
