It doesn't seem like it's too far to the right based of the picture here:

    GIGABYTE - Notebook / Slate & Device - Notebook & Netbook - P series - P2542G

But either way, that certainly isn't a killer for me since I used an actual time when I'm using my laptop.

I see your point about the toucpad (I guess it should be more to the left of the center of the laptop), but still this isn't a big issue IMO and will be easy to get used to or just avoid by using a mouse.

If you really want one, it looks like PCHome has two models in stock now. PChome½u¤WÁʪ« - 24h Áʪ«¡mGIGABYTE §Þ¹Å U2442N (i5-3210M, mSATA 128GB, GT640-2G, W7)¡n This one is $1,113 USD (converted from TWD). It should not be too long before they start to appear elsewhere. But, PCHome ships to the US. Just check with Gigabyte on international warranty.

Ah thanks but this is the one in need: P2542G. I must have the gtx 660m with Optimus. Does anyone have the gamer model out yet?

Why don't you just buy an MSI GE60?

The GE70 you mean? Apples to apples and all that. Is the lid on that unit vinyl wrap or are those actual plastic molded louvers? It looks like the laptop Micheal Knight would use to Skype his car Kit, to pick up milk on his way home from the car wash. ( 80's TV show Knight Rider) Is the keyboard backlit?

The cover is smooth but yes it has those tacky red graphics, although apparently they are less flashy in person. In any case I don't think it's much worse than the bright yellow Gigabyte.

Unfortunately I don't think it talks back like KITT did.

It does have a backlit keyboard ("Steel Series", which is supposedly a rather good keyboard).
