Samsung is expensive but the guts are quite fair, the asus is expensive, but the guts arent.

I don't think the Samsung is expensive at all. Currently tigerdirect sells the GTX675M version for $1899. Assuming the 7970M version is cheaper, which laptop would have the same performance for less??

the 7970m is around 80%-100% faster then the gtx 675m and is expected similar power consumption but the 7970m runs a lot cooler 10 degrees or so.

Let me reword:

Assuming the Samsung 7970M version is less than $1899, I am not sure if there are other alternatives (Alienware, SAGER, etc) that offer the same performance at a lower price.

I live in uk so I will wait for uk prices. Anyway theres no reason why to get a gtx 675m as you won't be futureproof.
