Re: need a new laptop
Crysis? With that budget? I don't know, really depends on the settings you play it at but if you need good video cards at that price range HP is probably the way to go. As long as you don't want it to last a long time, because HP does have reliability issues after about 3 years.
Take a look at the dv6t select edition: HP Pavilion dv6 and dv6t Select Edition series | HP Official Store
You'll want to configure it with a 1080p screen and 7690M 1 GB graphics (don't go for 2 GB it offers no performance increase and is a waste of money). Also upgrade to the 7200RPM hard drive. It will be $930 with tax (at least with my zip code). Then use the coupon code 1TECHBARG50 and you will save $50 for a total price of $877. If you want to upgrade the processor... I don't know, probably wouldn't see much of a difference but if it's $20... I probably would, couldn't hurt.
MacBook Pro 15 Late 2011 | Core i7 2760QM 2.4 Ghz | ATI Radeon HD6770M 1 GB GDDR5 | 750 GB 7200 RPM SATA| 8 GB 1333 Mhz RAM | 1680x1050 Hi-Res Glossy Display
