Currently, I am running around with a 2 year old M15x. It's heavy, loud, flashy and has horrible battery life. I'm looking for a slim, light, and portable system (Below 5 lbs if possible) with gaming laptop like benefits. I don't mind waiting for ivy bridge and would prefer a 600M series gpu (No AMD please). I would also prefer an SSD; a system with both an SSD and HDD would work also.
I almost purchased the LG p330 until I found out it was not backlit, this is a must for me. Right now I am looking at the Gigabyte U2442V ultrabook but don't like the throttled dual core cpu. If the Gigabyte system had a quad core processor with a GT 650m, I would be much happier.
Any ideas guys?
Thanks in advance everyone!

Im sure you have looked at the Alienware M14x option already. Doesnt supply the power as the M17x r3, does have a smaller footprint and will game very well.
Sagar NP8151 has tons of power options but weights about 6.8lb.
Coming from a previous M15x owner anything below 7lb you should find very portable. M14x feels like a paperweight compared to my old m15x.Work_Horse|Asus Sabertooth Z77|Intel i5-3570K|4GB Ram|180GB Intel 330 SSD|64GB Samsung 830 SSD+2TB Seagate +500GB WD Black HDD|EVGA Nvidia GTX-680 SC

wait for the gt 650m models to come through, there are several options out there, and the 650m is a little bit slower than the 560m comparing vantage scores

several... its a mid range card, several models already reported the gt 640m, inlcuding a acer ultrabook. we also hope that its the card in the t430u ultrabook
meaning its a low tdp card, and its the base for the 660m, however the latter uses gddr5 instead of ddr3.
