IdeaPAD y570 for medium gaming?

Any thoughts on this? Looking to get it and give my old laptop to my mom. Im planning to get a high-end gaming desktop for home, and a portable laptop for on-the-go gaming and essentially just an upgrade from my dv6-3120.

I would like to play BF3 on low-medium. Can this laptop support it?

yes, just a cdrw/dvd is fine, no need for bluray

Perfectly suitable for gaming. The Nvidia GeForce GT555M would run Battlefield 3 on low to medium graphics with great framerate. This would be a great choice for a gaming laptop however, there are some downsides. The 720p screen on the 15.6" laptop will not be as pretty as 900p. Also, the lack of RAM may cause bottlenecking and the CPU is a little bit slow in terms of keeping up with the GPU.

Other than that, I think it's a perfect choice, especially if you can get a good deal.

I just want to add that the GT 555M in the Y570 has only 96 Cuda cores unlike the other versions of the card that has 144 Cuda cores.
