    Default Can't Decide

Ok I am very undecided on what system to get. Maybe you guys can help me choose!

    OPTION 1: Force(MSI) 1761
    17" matte screen
    GTX 580m GPU
    i7-2630QM CPU (2.0ghz)
    8gb RAM
    750gb HDD
Price: $1478.28 after 3% cash discount, free shipping.

    OPTION 2: Malibal Satori P170HM
    17" glossy screen
    Radeon HD 6990m
    i7-2670QM (2.2ghz)
    8gb RAM
    750 gb HDD
Price $1419.73 after shipping, $100 off deal and $50 NBR discount.

HELP! I am really torn between the 2. I am mainly using this laptop to game on while at home and at friends houses/lan parties and such.
    Thanks for any input!

They're both pretty similar. Go with the screen that you prefer

I really dont the big difference between the screens. I understand matte stops glare and glossy screens display more clear colors right?

I think I'll go with Option 1, the gtx 580m seems to be more powerful then the 6990m. The matte screen is a plus. And for the price I cant find anything cheaper with a 580m, unless I downgrade the laptop to a 15inch and downgrade the cpu to the core i5, then I can get the price to $1358. And now this brings me to another question. How is gaming on a 15 inch screen at 1080p?

You can't go wrong with either one.

Gaming on 15" is perfectly fine. Of course you trade a bit of screen space for increased portability. Also, I've seen both of the 15" 95% gamut screens in person and I love them both. Very nice indeed!

95% gamut seems overkill and ill never really put it to use with photo editing. This will be just a gaming laptop for home use and when Im at my friends houses/parties. plus Im trying to put the cost down as much as I can so I dont use all of our tax money up lol.

I would consider going with the 6990M. A lot of people report throttling issues with the 580M.
