The choice for a gaming laptop under 50K which satisfies all these requirements is almost nil. You are being a bit too demanding- you need to ramp up your budget if you are going to play BC2, Crysis or GTA4 at high in the native res, you'll need a beefier graphics card. Or, if you can be satisfied with medium, an ATI 5650 would suffice. Good luck finding an i7 processor with this gpu under 50K (Hint: There isn't any).

The cheapest laptop with an ATI 5650 would be the Acer 5745G. The end price would be near 47K. Next is the Acer TimelineX 4820TG. That would lighten your purse by near 50K/51K (real street prices go for 47K).

Note the point that none of these have a numeric pad.

The cheapest laptop with a numeric keypad would be the Toshiba Satellite L650. It has an i5-450 (i guess..) and an underclocked ATI 5650 (nothing a little tinkering around with AMD GPU Tool can't rectify).
Comes near 50 grand, I think.

The next laptop I know of with an ATI 5650, an i5-560 and a number pad is a Sony Vaio EC 35FG/BI- comes with 1600x900 17 inch display- goes for 65K. Here's a link- http://www.sony.co.in/product/vpcec35fg

Another very interesting alternative which fits you perfectly could be the Sony Vaio EB 36FG- it has a full hd 1900x1080 15 inch screen, an ATI 5650 and an i3-370M. The clincher is that it has a separate number pad. The only fly in this otherwise perfect config is the i3 processor. I don't think it's a biggie, though. These Vaios cool pretty well and the cpu heat might not prove to be a bottle neck. (It has a lot of color options for the case, if you're interested) Here's a link- http://www.sony.co.in/product/vpceb36fg

The best part- it costs only 52K!!! (you might be able to get it for 50 grand or less at your place)

I think the last one could be your best and ideal bet. (be sure to set the clocks back to default levels as the Vaio's 5650 is underclocked too.) This maybe the best bet you can have with a 50K budget. The only compromise is the processor- but for FPS games, it's the gpu that matters. RTS games are the ones that use the processor heavily.

    Hope I helped.

Thanks for your valuable information. @ evilmessiah

actually I'm not familiar with laptop prices in now days.
on toshiba/msi website or on amazon.com, ebay US - I've found gaming laptops like ASUS G51JX-X3, Satellite A660-BT2G23, Satellite A660D-ST2G02, ASUS G60JX RBBX05, MSI GX660 etc under USD 1000 and
    1000 usd = 44.2k inr
    + shipping
    75 usd = 3.3k inr
total <= Rs. 50k, thats why I'm expecting too much in 50k (but I dont know if there is any tax, custom duty applicable or not for import.)

yeah, I'll be satisfied with medium settings, an ATI 5650 would suffice.

I've found Dell Inspiron 15R Laptop (T540612IN8) with ATI 550v for 47.2k (including tax, delivery, 1yr complete cover warranty) and Dell™ Inspiron M501R (T540902IN8) 44.6k (including tax, delivery, 1yr complete cover warranty)
whats about this two? both has ATI 550v. please someone compare ATI 550v with 5650

core i7 not needed, just it will be better if possible to get under 50k lappy.

how is Acer 5745G and Acer TimelineX 4820TG's built quality? and screen life? positive feedback?

HD550v is HD4650, so HD5650 is still better...

Dont even compare USA prices of Asus laptops with Indian prices. The model which costs 45k in USA (G51Jx) costs around 1 lac here.
the 5650 is much better for gaming than the 550v, not only it consumes lesser power, but also gives better performance.
The shortlist for you should be(according to me):
    1.Toshiba L650-x5310 (49.9k Company offer, maybe lesser)
    4gb, 500gb, 5650, i5-460m, 1366x768.
    2.5kg

    2.HP dv6-3057tx(46-48k with 1 GB RAM upgrade to 4GB)
    3+1gb, 500gb, 5650, i3-370m, 1366x768
(according to me, u dont even need to upgrade from 3gb ram to 4gb ram.
no app uses 4gb of ram)
without the upgrade the cost should be 43-45k
    2.49kg

    3.sony vaio vpceb16fg(price <=49k)
    full HD screen, 4gb, 500gb, 5650, i3-330(slower processor)
    2.7kg

When you visit USA and buy a laptop from there and bring it back with you to India, there will be no excise duty on the same if it's worth less than 70K. When you are shipping it, the story gets different- it becomes prohibitively expensive.

Stay away from the Dell Inspiron 15R if you plan to game! Neither does it have sufficient processing power (even the lowest i3 models outperform the amd multicores) nor does it have a powerful gpu (the 550v is a bad joke...it's just a rebranded 4650) to justify a purchase.

The 4820TG is better built than the 5745G. It's slimmer, lighter, has metal accents and looks a lot better than the 5745- which, I think, looks like a plastic box. If my info is right, the 5745G comes with a GT330M while the 4820TG comes with the ATI 5650 which is significantly better.

I was about to buy inspiron 15r with HD550v, but I won't anymore. thanks guys.

about HP dv6-3057tx is discontinued. please see this. @ rhlravi

I'll search my local shops for ACER 4820TG and Toshiba L650-x5310.

lenovo Y series also good for me.
    should I go for Lenovo Y560 59-040352 or Lenovo Y560 59-051026? both has HD5730 @ 51k
    __________

I'm not sure about availability of these notebooks in kolkata. if I'll be unable to find, should I buy online? I've found better notebook configs in www.anythinginit.com than ebay india - and those matches my needs. is anythinginit.com good (trusted) to buy online?

Sheesh.. so the dv6 3057tx's discontinued, huh? Never was a big fan of its touchpad and keyboard anyway.
You'll definitely get the Acer 4820TG in Kol. It's the best selling model in Asia, after all. (Not that it isn't doing so bad in the US and Europe, either- the stores regularly run out of stock of this model..)

The naming of the 5730 suggests that it belongs to the 57xx series and so, it must be a better performing gpu than the 5650. Unfortunately, it isn't so- the 5730 is just a 5650 with faster core clocks- which you can achieve by tweaking the values of the 5650 in the AMD GPU Tool. So, for a person who knows a thing or two, the 5730 doesn't hold that much of a performance appeal over the 5650- the performance difference isn't much.

So, what does the Lenovo Y560 have over the competition? An optional i7-720 (or 740)QM quad core for 60K for starters. Next is the fantastic keyboard and touchpad. Lastly, the JBL speakers sound great.

But do all these necessarily warrant a purchase of the Ideapad Y560? Sadly, no. The display has been said to be extremely problematic. Dancing pixels, stuff looking like ants crawling over the screen, pixellation, etc. Check this out to get an idea of what I am blabbing about- YouTube - Ideapad Y560 problem

You maybe lucky to get one with a good display- but frankly, is it worth taking the risk? I don't think the dealers here have a money back policy- they'll try to repair it or something.

the dv6-3057tx was launched just 2-3 months ago. cant believe that it has been discontinued. i have also noticed that all dv5, dv6, dv7 models have disappeared from the "explore hp pavilion versatile performance range" link.
only dv3, dm4 are visible. there may be some problem in the website. better to check out at stores.

hey man, remember that I said ppl were complaining about the dv6 giving them electric shocks while they used the laps while it was plugged on AC power? Maybe that's the reason for the discontinuation??
