Re: Need gaming laptop under Rs. 50k
yeah, you're absolutely right. a huge number of lenovo y560 display is buggy. I found on a forum
sourceAn epidemic has widespread. It’s not about a certain kind of disease. It attacks most of Lenovo IdeaPad Y560‘s screen. When the discrete graphics is turned on there will remarkably be pixels kind of dancing, shimmering, or moving around. This is much easier to see when the screen is tilted back about 60 degrees or to the front. Some speculations have risen as about the causes of this IdeaPad Y560 display problem including that the panel is only 6-bit and the AT1 card is attempting to do 8-bit color on the screen. Unfortunately, Lenovo has done nothing in this case.
hope new products are bug free. even some problems like dancing pixels can be solved with bios update, but buying lenovo y560 is still little bit risky. I won't buy y560 before check - LIVE! B-)
in my other hand, I've
Toshiba L650-x5310
and
acer 4820TG
today I'll search for this two in my local.Last edited by cyberster; 21st October 2010 at 05:21 PM.

Re: Need gaming laptop under Rs. 50k
vRAM isn't going to make a big difference in gaming performance- it's slower than the dedicated GDDR memory of the gpu. The 5730 performs slightly better than a 5650 (the 5730 is a renamed 5650 with higher clocks).
The laptop sounds good judging by the specs alone. I haven't seen or used it yet- so I can't comment much on the other mundane aspects.... (Good thing that it comes with no OS!)Sony Vaio EA36FG | Glossy Black | i5-560M@2.66 Ghz | 4 GB DDR3 RAM | ATI 5650 OC | 500 GB HDD | 14" 1366x768 LED Backlit Display | Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit

yeah, thats very good thing that it comes with no OS
I can save money from here
as performance + price, its best under 50k budget in all notebooks I've seen.
but I've to sacrifice 15.6"
... that won't matter too much...

I think the best thing about no OS preinstalled is that you don't get any of the manufacturer's bloatware. I hate them with a passion. Why pay extra money to get a slower laptop out of the box, right?
Couldn't find it in the Asus site...all I saw was a K42de- which has AMD processors... Can you post a link?Sony Vaio EA36FG | Glossy Black | i5-560M@2.66 Ghz | 4 GB DDR3 RAM | ATI 5650 OC | 500 GB HDD | 14" 1366x768 LED Backlit Display | Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit
