Default Difference in Price but not Quality

    Hii all,
I have a question, what i have noticed(in India) is that from 60k to 70k laptops their is not much difference in hardware, and as i want to play game on it i don't see much difference in the graphics cards of the laptops, the difference comes only in Procc., HDD and RAM so i want to know is that wether their is any benifit of spending 70k on something which i can get at 60-65k.
    Thankx.

try to find out what are your needs and balance your budget with needs - it depends up to you. and also try to find out benchmarks what you wanna buy before buy.

Default Gaming Laptop for 70k INR

    Hi guys,
after many days of market research i have zeroed in on buying Dell XPX L501X. my budget is 70k INR. i am getting the following config:

Intel core i7 740 QM processor(1.73 ghz, 2.93 Ghz with turbo boost)
    RAM 4 GB DDR3
2 GB Nvidia GeForce 435M graphics card
    500GB hard drive
    15.6" full HD display
... and all the other things that come in the standard Dell XPS models

Now, can anyone please suggest if a better option is available in India?
should i go for a 6GB RAM upgrade which will cost around 3k heavier in my pocket?

i basically need it for gaming. i am not a pro-gamer or something but i will most likely be playing NFS shift and carbon or COD Black Ops kinda games.

Please let me know what you need to know and I'll let you know. Hey can you please let me know which RAM you're using in your lap? Mine is a kingston and a hyundai ( I think its hynix, it shows hyundai in cpu-z I think)

No, you dont need 6 GB, 4 GB DDR3 can handle all the current games at decent settings, if not the highest (bundled with the proper CPU+GPU). Perhaps you should consider buying a decent pair of headphones using that money

I'm agree with Comskian 4gb sufficient.

get a good gaming mouse and headphone in that price. or you also can upgrade normal keyboard to baklit keyboard, add some hdd space etc...

Dell does provide some nice gaming laptops but I don't think any model is available here in India other than the Alienware. So with a 70K budget I wouldn't buy a Dell for gaming.
