Between those two, go with the Sager

suppose it depends if you want a christmas tree or a beast.

Why are you guys saying Sager? You could perhaps explain to him why to go with it then just saying "Go with the Sager, just because". The M17x has a superior RGBLED screen, superior graphics cards, overclocking and DX 11 support.

You mentioned monthly payments. Keep in mind that with Alienware, it's 12 months interest-free BUT if you don't pay it off within that timeline, the interest will be around 1200$ over the 4 year term.

If you're spending that much on an Alienware, then I would go for it instead of the Sager. Remember to read the Dell thread where you can 'haggle' sales reps into giving you 100-200$ off the price, as well as dig up promo coupons online which could save you another 100$ off.

Yep and the Alienware has flashing lights. I'd get the Alienware.

I think it all depends on your personality. If you are business mined kind of person and don't want attention when you pull it out your back pack then I would go with the Sager. There build and quality are top not notch, but to me they are just boring to look at. No offense to any Sager owners. Myself I would go with the Alienware because I am just a big kid inside and I love there looks and extras, like the lighted keyboard effects everything else that makes it an Alienware. Both are great computer and very upgradeable so I don't think you could go wrong with ether.
