I have trimmed down to I think three/four choices and need some advices
I have posted a thread before and read some answers. I'd like to take this opportunity to thank you for those that answered me. I would post this if I could find my post but I am too lazy

Anyways, I researched heavily for a budget gaming laptop and came down to four choices (three if you don't count the one from the same company, MSI)
1) MSI GX740
2) MSI GX640
3) ASUS N61JQ-X1
4) Lenovo Y560.
I guess two important criteria are longetivity in terms of its ability to handle future games and 'company trustworthy' or how well the laptop is built and can last.
Finally, I have one last question.
-> Which website is cheapest to buy from? I think I have an access to free windows 7 professional 64 bit so I guess customizing websites are fine with me as well (I am guessing this will save me about 100 bucks or so
)
Thanks a lot!Last edited by bks1987; 21st July 2010 at 03:08 AM.

The MSI GX740 will be the best in performance

Brand wise, i would consider Asus the best there. Although the MSI has much better performance. Seeing as it comes with a 3 year warranty though, you dont have anything to worry about

I have read very good reviews about ASUS N61JQ-X1. I would suggest read some more reviews or even talk to people before you take the final decision.

Re: I have trimmed down to I think three/four choices and need some advices
I got an MSI GX640. I had debated the GX740 as well, although in FPS benchmarks, the GX740's i7 + 5870 only result in maybe 4-8 FPS more on average. For me, it wasn't worth spending upwards of $300 dollars more for a bigger notebook with only marginally better gaming performance. The GX640 is also considerably more portable if that's a concern, although the GX740 isn't bad for a 17"-er.
I think either of the MSI's would be great. You just need to decide if you want a little more power, or more portable and some money left over
I'm very happy with my GX640.
