MSI GE600-002US vs Acer Aspire AS5740G-6979
Hi guys... I need a laptop and i want to import it from US.
max budget is $1000.
I will be using it for for mid- level gaming
watching movies,surfing
should have good dedicated GPU.
decent battery life.
I have shortlisted 2 machines...
MSI GE600-002US
Acer Aspire AS5740G-6979
I am really confused as i cant decide which one to buy.
or any other option you can suggest that matches features of above mentioned machines...Help me guys.

15) When are you buying this laptop and how long do you want this laptop to last? Next week My friend is returning back form US so i have to decide within this week.

16) How much hard drive space do you need; 80GB to 640GB? Do you want a SSD drive? Min 320 and max 500

The Acer is better, but has a 1 year warranty
the MSI has 3 years.
I'd vote for the Acer, but what are the prices where you are?

MSi's 3 year warranty may NOT be valid in India. check that first.
Asus warranty is usually honoured.
Also, check out the N series from asus. perhaps you could get a deal with N61jq

1100usd.
N61jq-A1 - core i7, 4gb ddr3, 500gb hdd, radeon HD5730 1 gb gddr3.
Theres a stripped down version N61jq-X1, which has 320gb hdd and costs 1050 at newegg.
does that do, freaky champ?

well then in that case @OP- go for it. You will value the swtichable graphics a lot especially when no one around you in India would have that capability.
