Laptop suggestions please.
1) What is your budget?
no more than $1500.
2) What size notebook would you prefer?
d. Mainstream; 15" - 16" screen
3) Where will you buying this notebook? You can select the flag of your country as an indicator.

4) Are there any brands that you prefer or any you really don't like?
a. Like: no clue.
b. Dislike: apple. dell.
5) Would you consider laptops that are refurbished/redistributed?
no.
6) What are the primary tasks will you be performing with this notebook?
school work. internet. video/movies.
7) Will you be taking the notebook with you to different places, leaving it on your desk or both?
both.
8) Will you be playing games on your notebook? If so, please state which games or types of games?
i have a desktop for gaming at campus, so i need a laptop for occasional gaming when im away from campus.
games i play are starcraft 2 and heroes of newerth.
9) How many hours of battery life do you need?
2 to 3 hours.
10) Would you prefer to see the notebooks you're considering before purchasing it or buying a notebook on-line without seeing it is OK?
online is fine.
11) What OS do you prefer? Windows (XP or Vista or Windows 7), Mac OS, Linux, etc.

Build Quality and Design
14) Are the notebook's looks and stylishness important to you?
nothing too plain and nothing too weird like alienware.
15) When are you buying this laptop and how long do you want this laptop to last?
hopefully by summer and it should last at least 3 years.
Notebook Components
16) How much hard drive space do you need; 80GB to 640GB? Do you want a SSD drive?
200 gb minimum. no ssd.
17) Do you need an optical drive? If yes, a CDRW/DVD-ROM, DVD Burner or Blu-Ray drive?
dvd burner. but not a big issue for me.

Check out the msi ge600 when its out it should have
i5
radeon 5730/switchable igp
thats all you really need to kno, it should also be able to play hon on max and sc2 on high or ultra. It's also not that big or heavy

Sager: no. importing to Canada costs a fortune.
Ideapad... have you taken a look at the Canadian Lenovo's site? It's very depressing. Very, very depressing.
Consider the N61JQ by Asus also, comes for $1050 from Newegg, and IMO is one of the best value laptops available in Canada.

Well if you aren't buying it now, you might wait for the newer model to come out.
