Ignoring everything Apple related, AppleInsider has good charts of the Core i3/i5/i7 line ups.

Re: The Intel Processor Information Guide - <<READ BEFORE POSTING>>
\Come on 2010... So hard to resist purchasing laptops!
I know, I couldnt resist..
I guess this is kinda offtopic, but just wanted to share the latest:

Also could someone give me some info about the TDP and power usage of the CPU's.
Im not getting it. I have a i7 720 and I thought it uses 45W?
HW Monitor is telling me its peak is at 55.04W ? And while idle it is 15.34W ?
What does that mean. It uses 15W per second?Last edited by Ramzii; 24th December 2009 at 07:51 PM.

Re: The Intel Processor Information Guide - <<READ BEFORE POSTING>>
According to Intel TDP is 45W for the 720.

My Asus tells me otherwise, I have the same readings, 55W max, 15W idle.Last edited by ComputerMD82; 24th December 2009 at 12:29 AM. Reason: I confused two processors.

Yes, same here, btw did you OC your GPU? 71 idle doesnt sound too healthy.

Ignore those idles, I had just exited a game and it was on the way down. I started the program mid game.
