new to laptops and need help!
Hi everyone,
After reading some of the excellent reviews on this website i thought i'd join to ask your expert advice on what laptop to buy.
Basically, I want something to play modern games on and watch films….so I’m after a 17 inch system with a decent processor and graphics. I also don’t want to spend anymore than £600.
I'm looking at the this one for £549:
Dell Studio 17
CHIP
Intel® Core™ 2 Duo Processor T5750 (2.0 GHz, 667 MHz FSB, 2 MB L2 Cache)
Graphics
256MB ATI Mobility RADEON HD 3650
Memory
3072MB 667MHz Dual Channel DDR2 SDRAM [1x2048+1x1024]
Dell also offer an LED screen upgrade for £30…is this worth it? Would an LED screen make a huge difference?
Thanks in advance!

Hi,and welcome to NBR

Yeap,LED update is worth it-you get way better screen! Also,I think you must get a little more powerful CPU for gaming-something like T8300

Re: new to laptops and need help!
thanks, i think i'll opt for the LED screen then!
I'm also tempted by the Blue Ray option...but that bring the price of the Studio 17 to £679....is this still a good deal?
