~15.4 widescreen. LED backlight. CAD $1-1.5k
Hi what laptops are available in Canada with LED backlight?
Looking for an all around laptop. Should have HDMI output. Intermediate dedicated graphics card. P - series c2d cpu. Quality better than Acer.

Apple Mac Book Pro (but is out o price range I think)

Nope there aren't many 15.4'' notebooks with LED screens out there. More in the 14.1'' such as the T400.

The only LED screen I know is the Dell XPS m1530.

how about dell studio 15? they do offer an upgrade to a LED screen for $150 CAD.
HDMI output - check.
P-series? - i dont think so. (please correct me if im wrong.)
dedicated graphics card - ATI 3450.
quality better than Acer? - some would say yes, some would say no.
depends on their experience with the laptop.

The T500 has the option of a LED now. I just checked. It's on sale too until the 22nd of Sept I believe.
I picked the T9400 proc, ati 3650, 3gb ram, fingerprint reader, bluetooth, 160gb 7200rpm, dvd recordable, Intel5300, 9 cell and it came out just over $1500. Didn't buy it though. Still deciding on what I should get. =P
