Nick, its cyclone, I'm with you, pentium M all the way, unless its a desktop, then of course pentium 4, or D, but NOT on a laptop, the New pentium M 2.26ghz. is comparable to a pentium 4 3.6 ghz! and it doesnt require half the jucie!

    Define "better."

For the bulk of us, the P-M is "better" because it delivers sufficient performance and stellar battery life. I'd rather take a small hit in frame count in games (where the AMD leads) and come out with 3-4 hour battery life rather than gain those few FPS and have a laptop that only lasts for 1.5-2 hours.

Plus the FX-55 (2.6 GHz) is a much, much, much more expensive processor. Its price/performance ratio is awful.

The PM all the way, unless the AMD64 was 3600+ then maybe it would be better as a DTR but as of those specs, the PM will zergling rush the AMD64 to death

Actually, the 2.6 GHz model is more commonly called the AMD Athlon™ 64 FX-55. It's the second fastest single core chip on the market, only losing out to its brother, the FX-57. The 3500+ is only clocked at 2.2 GHz.

    Every single one...
