Portable 13" or 14"
I'm looking to buy a fairly light 13" or 14" windows laptop with a matte screen in the $1500 range.
Would it be best for me to wait until the new Latitude E-Series comes out? Do you think these will have a matte screen and fit my price range?

Re: Portable 13" or 14"
I say HP DV2700t, though Im not sure if it comes with a matte screen. Pricewise, its definetely in your budget. If you are goind to wait, you could hold until Montevina, which come out in May or so. Its supposed to be the next big upgrade since a long time.

I dont know for sure when the Latitude E series will be release(or the pricing) but I believe it will have LED backlit display so it should have a premium price.
As far as I know, the HP dv2700t only has an option of a glossy(HP calls i BrightView) screen.
Also check out the 14in Dell Latitude D630( most business class laptops from HP, Dell, Lenovo have Matte screens).Latitude D410. 6 years old notebook that did not have a built-in optical drive when built.

Do you need long battery life, if yes, the D630 from Dell is a right choice.
