Sony fz31 or 38m - or dell xps 1530 ?

Hey Guys

New to the forum, so if I am in the wrong spot, just let me know.

Anyway, I want a blu-ray laptop, and been looking at the problems people are having with dell screens, and the electric shock thing.

Dell Xps looks the biz, but I dont want it to look nice but smell like crap, you know what Im saying.

Anyway, been looking at the new Sony Vaio FZ38M with Penryn t8100. This looks ok and for 849.00 cant go wrong.

But the dell has a big question mark over it as it seems on this site with the screens.

Will be using the laptop for multi media and some light gaming, nothing like farcry.

What do you think?

Take a risk with dell or just go for the Sony.

The one thing I like with dell is the call out service, I have herd sony is not that great for customer service and returns.

No they are both the same.

Dell has a remote which might come in handy, plus serivce.

Sony has the new t8100 processor

from lots of reading from this forum, and personal experience with Dell, I'd go for Sony

There seems to be a lot of people complaining about the m1530 screen and other bits, but dont see to much about sony. Is that because dell is more popular with more owners so that would generate more complaints. I dont know, the dell looks nice, but I got two kids and do not need the stress if something is wrong with the dell. Looking at the new FZ38M Penryn or the FZ31M. 100 QUID DIFF.. Only thing is id rather a better screen and graphics card.
