Looking for a new laptop with good graphics card
I've been looking for a good gaming laptop, that doesn't have the be the best of the best graphics card, and has a long battery life. Around 3+ hours
1) What is your budget?
$900-1100
2) What size notebook would you prefer?
a. Ultraportable; 12" screen or less
b. Thin and Light; 13" - 14" screen
c. Mainstream; 15" - 16" screen

yes i need a DVD optical drive, it does not have to have Blu-Ray or HD-DVD drive
Is there anything in particular that should be more important?
It must be a Dedicated graphics card, preferably BETTER then ATI Mobility Radeon X600, and has 256mb or more memory.
CPU: core 2 duo
memory: DDR2 667mhz (pc-5300) or faster
include any links that you used or links for laptops you recommend please. (if you used any)

You might look at some Dell with a 8600M GT. $1100 isn't much
And Acer is one of the biggest price of c***

You can get a low end Inspiron 1520 or Vostro 1500 for your price range. If you skimp on a couple bells and whistles, you can get an 8600GT powered laptop.

8600m might be the best/only option at that price range. like the other said, dell vostro would be pretty decent. see if you can get gddr3 8600
