Laptop for 1080p HDMI output
Hello all,
My name is David and I signed up on these forums just to ask this question! I have recently bought a 1080p HDTV that I would like to basically use as a computer monitor. So, I know that I need a laptop with HDMI output. However, my question concerns the resolution. What laptop will allow me to output the best resolution (I assume the best is 1080p)?
I have looked at the HP 8510p (http://h10010.www1.hp.com/wwpc/us/en...1-3355678.html) and the Dell XPS1330 (http://www.dell.com/content/products...19&l=en&s=dhs). However, both do not specify if they can output 1080p.
So, which laptop should I buy? Size, battery life, etc are not issues - only the 1080p output matters!
Thank you.

Re: Laptop for 1080p HDMI output
to be short, if playing Bluray rips is what your after, you should buy a Dell XPS-M1330 with Nvidia 8400m, via PowerDVD this plays BluRay and HD-DVD images perfectly. (or original disks if you buy external BluRay or HD-DVD drive) all on 1080p (1920 *1080 24fps) no need for a higher card than the 8400m

You can get an HP Pavillion with 8400GS which comes with an HDMI, and that'll suffice too.
Dell Vostro 1500
Core2Duo T5470 (1.6Ghz, 800FSB)
2gb DDR2 667MHZ
8600GT 256mb
80gb
2MP Webcam
