Dell Vostro 1500 vs. Acer Aspire 5630-6288
I finally got it down to 2 notebooks. the dell vostro 1500 and the Acer Aspire 5630-6288 and here are the specs for both

oh yea and the Acer only comes with the Intel Graphics Media Accelerator 950 and the Vostro with the 128MB NVIDIA® GeForce™ 8400M GS . let me know what ya'll think. thanks

Acer's build quality hasn't been up to par in recent history, this Acer model may be no different in that respect. If build quality's a big factor in your purchase, go with the Vostro since it's well built as a business notebook, because that's what's expected of their build quality in a business setting. The 8400m GS should serve you well for casual gaming as well, and should run games like HL2 or WoW nicely.

HL2? do you mean Halo2? i don't play world of warcraft..but i at least want to play Halo2 on it..

Well Halo 2 is just badly coded, I hear even powerful computers have trouble running it on PC...talk about a bad port.

Regular Halo2 is for Xbox only, wont run on your PC. He is talking about the Halo2 for Windows Vista,
