Default Only have a $1400AU Budget.

    http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ACER-AMD-DUAL...QQcmdZViewItem

Is a laptop like that good for $1400? Or does anyone have any other suggestions? I would just like it a laptop as my desktop is getting old and i reguarly move inbetween houses with my computer so it's not too good for it.

I would mainly just like to browse and maybe a bit of light gaming such as WoW and Warcraft 3 and was also wondering if that gfx card would be able to handle it?

I cannot stretch my budget much as i am just a 15 year old school student

    Thanks in advance.

Not really an issue, Mostly will have it plugged into the wall while using.

Not really if someone has recommended it or it has been given good reviews.

    10) What OS do you prefer? Windows (XP or Vista), Mac OS, Linux, etc.
I have only used XP since around when it came out, open to using Vista but i dont know how much coverage it has on games.

    12) From the choices below, what screen resolutions would you prefer?

    14) Are the notebook's looks and stylishness important to you?
As long as it looks decent and not like a brick, it's fine.

Years to come It will mostly be replacing my crappy desktop.

    Notebook Components

    16) How much hard drive space do you want; 40GB to 200GB? Preferrably around 120gb but i only currently have a 40gb on my desktop so anything is good!

Thanks for completing that, it really helps.

Consider the HP 6715b for a 15.4" - great quality and a good value. For something more multimedia-oriented, consider the HP dv6000t/dv6500t.

17" - I'd look at the Acer Aspire 9300 and the Dell Inspiron 1520.

Au Re: Only have a $1400AU Budget.

Thanks for the help, So you don't think that laptop on ebay i posted in the first play was good? I thought 2gb ram with the ATI 1300XT and Dual core AMD processor may be able to play the games i wanted to, and seeing its in Australia = Cheap shipping, And it was $100 under my budget with the cashback
